About Seine Bight
Seine Bight is a robust seaside village on the coast of the beautiful Placencia Penninsula. It is one of five Garifuna villages in the Stan Creek District. In the tiny village you will find people dancing to lively music, practicing traditional drumming and dance, and chatting roadside in the afternoon heat. There are several small restaurants located in the village including a fantastic barbeque joint. For a great article on Seine Bight visit: Seine Bight.
If you head south you will reach Placencia, a village catered more to tourists than Seine Bight. Here you will find a variety of little shops situated alongside the Guinness Book of World Records’ narrowest street. These shops feature art, souvenirs and clothing made by local Belizean artists. After shopping, stop for lunch at one of the many restaurants located within the village. We’d be happy to recommend some of our favorite spots – although we must warn you the list is a bit long. It is amazing how reasonable restaurant prices are on the peninsula.
Welcome to Belize!
